INSTALLATION - FEATURED INSTALLATIONS - SUPERHERO THEATRE
Superhero Theatre

The entrance to this theatre already tells you you're about to walk into a special room, and easily sets the mood for a good night at the theater; in every sense of the word.

The planning and design of this home theatre started in 2006 and is probably the closest you will get to a Superhero themed home theatre. Yes, the client knew exactly what he wanted from the start.

Working on a project like this was quite a bit of fun and really helped keep the theatres' focus on 'superhero' performance.

HFX Systems helped with the design work together with the owner and graphic artists, coming up with innovative ways to disguise the B&W CWMLCR7's for the surround and rear speaker channels.

B&W's mighty Signature 8NT custom speakers were deployed for the three front speakers and were custom sprayed in a satin black finish as per the clients request.

Bass in the theatre is handled by two B&W ASW750 subwoofers in the front coupled with a Meyer Sound subwoofer in the rear.

The popular Lexicon MV5 processor controls all the signals with a Lexicon LX-7 and Rotel RB1080 power amplifier handling the amplification. A Pioneer elite LX70 Blu-ray player allows the latest HD blu-ray discs to be fed to the Full HD Panasonic PT-3000 projector (neatly concealed in the bulkhead and not visible or audible from any of the seats).

The touchscreen remote allows the owner to control everything in the theatre from lighting scenes, air conditioning, and all sound and video controls from a single '007 themed' remote control. The whole theatre is automated with Niko and RTI products - this includes motion sensors when entering to full lighting control and scenes.
