Marantz launch IS301
One of the charms of an iPod is its pleasing feel in your hand - with all its browsing features at your fingertips. However, this personal handiness is lost when you want to enjoy the music via your high quality HiFi system - but all that is about to change, thanks to a new type of docking station: the Marantz IS301. It lets you keep your iPod, and all of its browsing features, in your hands. It does this via a small extension module that plugs into your iPod and sends audio information via Bluetooth to a receiver unit connected to your HiFi system. While it is docked in a separate cradle, you are able to charge your latest generation iPod or iPhone, while enjoying all music and videos while being connected via USB to iTunes. The cradle can be wall mounted or simply put on a shelf. It's all in your own hands, and will be available at the end of February 2009.
